Purchase of Medicine and Surgical Items for Social Services Medical Centre Skardu

The Government of Gilgit Baltistan, through the Office of the Social Welfare Officer at the Social Services Medical Centre (SSMC) in Skardu, invites sealed tenders from licensed medical stores and authorized distributors for the financial year 2026-2027. This procurement is specifically for the purchase of medicine and surgical items under two categories: from the Zakat & Bait-ul-Mall Fund and from the Social Welfare / LP fund. Items being procured: - Purchase of Medicine and Surgical Items from Zakat & Bait-ul-Mall Fund - Purchase of Medicine and Surgical Items from Social Welfare / LP fund The tender documents must be submitted by the specified deadlines, with the first category's submission deadline on 07th September 2026 at 11:00 AM and the second category at 11:30 AM on the same day. Tender opening will follow shortly after submission deadlines. A call deposit security of Rs. 80,500/- in the form of demand draft or pay order in the name of Social Welfare Officer, SSMC Skardu, is mandatory with the tender documents. Suppliers must ensure delivery of items to SSMC Skardu after issuance of supply orders and maintain validity of rates until 30th June 2027. Approved suppliers are responsible for providing quality and quantity medicines, surgical items, and life-saving drugs as prescribed by doctors. Additionally, suppliers must have their own medical store near RHQ Hospital, Skardu, to participate. Bidders must offer a minimum discount of 10% and the highest discount rates on national and multinational medicines and surgical items will be preferred. Tender documents can be obtained from the office of the undersigned upon payment of GB Finance Act 2025 charges during office hours. The undersigned reserves the right to accept or reject any tender according to PPRA Rule-33(1). It is advised that bidders carefully prepare their submissions and ensure compliance with all terms and conditions to avoid disqualification.
