Tender Description
The Federal Government Polyclinic (Postgraduate Medical Institution) Islamabad is procuring the purchase, repair, and maintenance of allied accessories of medical gases on an annual contract basis for the remaining period of Financial Year 2025-26 and the annual tender for Financial Year 2026-27, which is extendable. This procurement is specific to Islamabad and involves a comprehensive range of medical gas-related equipment and accessories including oxygen cylinders, nitrous cylinders, oxygen concentrators, control valves, copper piping for medical gases, electric manifolds, oxygen gauges, manifold systems, bed panels with electrical and gas outlets, pressure regulators, zone service units, suction regulators, valves, air filters, compressor oils, and related repair and maintenance services.
The technical scope covers supply and repair of high-quality medical gas accessories compliant with HTM 2022 standards or equivalent European standards. The tender includes items such as safety-certified oxygen cylinders of various capacities, copper pipe line extensions with fittings in multiple sizes, electric manifold sets, oxygen flow meters, pressure indicators, and other critical components essential for hospital gas systems. Repair and maintenance services for air compressors, dryers, and motors are also included.
Eligibility criteria require bidders to be manufacturers, sole agents, or authorized distributors with valid FBR/ATL registration and relevant licenses such as DRAP certification where applicable. Bidders must have at least five years of experience supplying allied accessories of medical gases to public sector hospitals or international agencies. Submission of earnest money in the form of a Call Deposit Receipt (CDR) of Rs.100,000 initially, with a 5% performance guarantee after intent letter issuance, is mandatory. Technical and financial bids must be submitted online via EPADS of PPRA, with strict adherence to bid format and documentation requirements.
The tender will be opened on 30-04-2026 at 11:30 AM, with bid submission deadline before 11:00 AM on the same day. Bidders should ensure all documents are properly signed, stamped, and submitted in computerized print form. Handwritten or manually typed bids will be rejected. The procuring agency reserves the right to cancel bids under PPRA rules.
A practical tip for bidders is to carefully follow the EPADS online submission process and ensure all required documents, including judicial stamp papers and original CDRs, are ready for submission at bid opening. Attention to detail in technical specifications and compliance with DRAP and HTM standards will enhance the chances of success in this competitive tender.
