Tender Description
The Border Health Services-Pakistan is procuring rapid food and water testing equipment under the project titled Strengthening of Points of Entry and Border Health Services - Pakistan. This procurement aims to enhance the capacity for quick and reliable testing of food and water samples at border points to ensure public health safety and compliance with health standards.
The technical scope includes supply of advanced testing devices capable of detecting contaminants and pathogens in food and water samples. These devices will be deployed at strategic border entry points to facilitate timely health inspections and prevent the spread of diseases. The equipment must meet international standards and be user-friendly for field health officers.
Eligible bidders should have relevant experience in supplying laboratory and testing equipment, preferably with prior work in public health or border control sectors. Registration with FBR and inclusion on the Active Taxpayers List (ATL) is mandatory. While no specific PEC category applies, technical capability and past performance will be critical evaluation criteria.
The tender follows a single stage two envelope procedure. Interested suppliers must submit their technical and financial bids by the closing date of 13th June 2024, 23:59:59. Bids should be delivered to the Border Health Services-Pakistan office as per instructions in the bidding documents. Earnest Money and CDR requirements will be detailed in the tender documents.
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure complete compliance with the technical specifications and provide clear documentation of previous supply contracts in the health sector. This will strengthen the technical bid and improve chances of success in this competitive procurement.
