Tender Description
Gujranwala Electric Power Company Limited (GEPCO) invites sealed tenders for the reclamation and replacement of damaged and irreparable parts of 50-KVA transformers used in the distribution system. This procurement is being conducted under the single stage one envelope bidding procedure from registered pre-qualified firms having a sound track record for manufacturing of new transformers or recantling of damaged irreparable transformers with DISCOs/WAPDA. Only firms registered with WAPDA and possessing the required amendments to specifications are eligible to participate. The work is to be carried out at the Regional Store GEPCO, 132 KV Grid Station Shaheenabad, Gujranwala.
Items being procured:
- Reclamation and replacement of damaged and irreparable parts of 50-KVA irreparable damaged distribution transformers, including less copper, bodies, and other components, with complete new sets as per WAPDA/PEPCO specifications (DS8/24:2000 amended to date) (approx. 200 units)
The technical scope includes the supply and installation of new parts and components for 50-KVA distribution transformers, ensuring compliance with the latest WAPDA/PEPCO specifications. All work must be completed at the designated GEPCO regional store in Gujranwala. Bidders must provide a bid guarantee of PKR 640,000 in the form of a CDR or pay order from a scheduled bank of Pakistan. Only firms on the active Taxpayers List (ATL) of FBR are eligible. Tender documents can be obtained from the PPRA website or www.eprocure.gov.pk. Bids must be submitted through the E-PADS system and a manual bid must also be submitted to the office of the undersigned. The deadline for submission is 3 September 2026 at 11:00 AM, and bids will be opened the same day at 11:30 AM.
A practical tip: Ensure your bid guarantee is valid for at least 150 days from the tender opening date and that all documents are uploaded to E-PADS as well as submitted in hard copy to avoid disqualification.
