Pakhtunkhwa Highways Authority (PKHA) Peshawar invites electronic bids from pre-qualified firms for the rehabilitation and improvement of key road infrastructure in Peshawar. The tender specifically covers the ADP Scheme No. 1945/260384 for the fiscal year 2026-27. The project includes the rehabilitation and improvement of Abbottabad Nathiagali Barian Road (length 57.50 kms) and Kuzagali Ayubia Khanspur Road (length 6.15 kms). The subhead Package-2 focuses on the improvement and rehabilitation of the road section from Bagnotar to Barrian and Kozagali to Ayubia Khanspur Road.
Items being procured:
- Rehabilitation and improvement of Abbottabad Nathiagali Barian Road (57.50 kms)
- Rehabilitation and improvement of Kuzagali Ayubia Khanspur Road (6.15 kms)
- Improvement/rehabilitation of road from Bagnotar to Barrian
- Improvement/rehabilitation of road from Kozagali to Ayubia Khanspur Road
The technical scope involves extensive civil works on road infrastructure including surface rehabilitation, structural improvements, and enhancement of road safety features. The project is large scale, requiring experienced contractors with proven capability in road construction and rehabilitation. Bidders must be registered with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Revenue Authority (KPRA) and comply with the KPPRA Procurement Rules, 2014. The bid security is 2% of the estimated cost, and tender fees are applicable as per the notice. Electronic bids must be submitted via the EPAD system by 17th August 2026 at 12:00 PM, with original call deposits submitted physically before the deadline.
Eligibility requires firms to be pre-qualified as per the office notification 1180/47B(2nd)/P-II/PKHA dated 06.05.2026. Firms must have valid PEC registration and demonstrate relevant experience in similar road works. FBR and ATL registration are also mandatory.
The tender documents, including the Engineer’s Estimate and Instructions to Bidders, are available on the PKHA website and EPAD system. The bid opening will occur on the same day at 12:30 PM in the presence of bidders or their representatives.
A practical tip for bidders: Ensure your bid security and call deposits are submitted timely and in the correct format to avoid disqualification. Pay close attention to the detailed rate analysis requirements if bidding below 20% of the engineer’s estimate to prevent your bid from being declared non-responsive.
