Rehabilitation of Vertical Steel Storage Tank T-09 at PSO ZOT Karachi

Pakistan State Oil Company Limited (PSO) invites quotations for the comprehensive rehabilitation of Vertical Steel Storage Tank T-09 located at PSO ZOT, Karachi. This extensive project covers a wide range of mechanical, civil, and fabrication works to restore the tank to optimal operational condition. The scope includes internal cleaning, cutting and removal of existing steel structures, fabrication and installation of new steel components, repair of weld seams, scaffolding, grit blasting, painting, and installation of sprinkler and valve systems. Items being procured: - Internal Cleaning of Tank - Cutting, removal and dismantling of existing steel structure (31,000 KG) - Fabrication works including erection, installation & welding of tank shell and appurtenances (31,000 KG) - Services for pit build-up (6,000 EA) - Repair of weld seams (200 M) - Scaffolding and staging platform - Grit blasting and surface preparation - Providing and applying various paints including epoxy primer and finish coats - Mechanical cleaning - Hydrostatic and vacuum box testing - Calibration of tank - Radiographic, magnetic particle, dye penetrant, and leak testing - Cutting, removal, shifting and placing of pipelines of various diameters - Making weld joints and bolting flanged joints in pipes - Installation of valves of various sizes - Supply of pipes, flanges, elbows, tees, reducers, caps, nipples, and other steel structures - Earthing of tank - Civil works including excavation, concrete laying, brick/block masonry, plastering, and waterproofing The project requires adherence to relevant codes and standards such as API 650, API 653, ASME B31.3, and ASTM specifications. Contractors must ensure all consumables including welding electrodes, gases, and scaffolding materials are provided at no extra cost. Testing and inspection must be conducted by PSO approved firms with API certified inspectors. The contractor is responsible for all logistics including loading, unloading, shifting, and disposal of waste materials. Eligibility criteria include valid PEC registration in relevant categories, FBR registration, and proven experience in similar tank rehabilitation projects. Earnest money and bid security requirements apply as per PSO procurement rules. Bids must be submitted by **06 August 2026**.
