Tender Description
The National Grid Company of Pakistan (NGCP) invites bids for the relocation of Tower No. 16 (Type: EA) of the 220kV Double Circuit (Nowshera-Mardan and Chakdara – Shahibagh) Twin Bundle Transmission Line at Deri Zhardad, District Charsadda, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. This project involves comprehensive civil and mechanical works including clearing right of way, mobilization and demobilization, construction of new bored RCC pile foundations with reinforcement, dismantling and transportation of existing towers and conductors, erection of new steel towers, stringing of conductors and overhead shield wires, and testing and commissioning of the re-routed transmission line section. The scope also includes supply and installation of hardware accessories such as insulators, dampers, and anti-climbing devices. Bidders must be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) in relevant categories including C-6, CE-10, and EE-05, and be on the Active Taxpayers List of the Federal Board of Revenue and relevant provincial authorities. Experience in similar transmission line projects with at least 2 km of 220kV or higher voltage bundled lines strung by controlled tension method is mandatory. The tender requires submission of bids through the e-Pak Acquisition and Disposal System (EPADS) v2.0 by **May 20, 2026 11:00 AM**. Manual submissions will not be entertained. The bid must be accompanied by a bid security of 2% of the quoted bid value in the form of pay order, call deposit, or demand draft. The contract will be awarded on a least cost basis and the successful bidder will be required to provide a performance guarantee of 10% of the contract price. The project site is located in a remote area of Charsadda district, and bidders are advised to inspect the site and consider all local conditions including access, weather, and availability of resources before bidding. A practical tip for bidders is to ensure timely registration and familiarization with the EPADS system to avoid submission issues. Also, bidders should prepare detailed mobilization and execution plans to meet the tight timelines and ensure compliance with all technical and financial requirements. This tender offers an excellent opportunity for qualified contractors specializing in high voltage transmission line works to participate in a critical infrastructure project in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
