Tender Description
Municipal Committee Ghotki invites bids for the removal of debris and building material from Wards 1 to 5 in Ghotki city, Sindh. This procurement is specifically for the cleaning and clearing of construction waste and related materials to improve municipal infrastructure and sanitation. The department responsible for this tender is the Municipal Committee Ghotki, located in the city of Ghotki.
Items being procured:
- Removing of Debries/Building Material from Ward 1 to 5 MC Ghotki
The technical scope includes the collection, transportation, and disposal of debris and building materials from the specified wards. The work requires adequate machinery such as dumper trucks, tractors with trolleys, water tankers, compactors, vibrators, air compressors, generators, concrete mixers, steel cutting and bending machines, shuttering, scaffolding pipes, leveling machines, dewatering pumps, allied construction tools, and material testing equipment. The site is urban and requires timely and efficient clearance to maintain cleanliness and public health standards.
Eligibility criteria are stringent and include registration with Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) where applicable, active registration with Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and Sindh Revenue Board (SRB), GST registration, and a minimum of five years relevant experience. Bidders must have completed at least one similar nature of work costing 80% of the estimated cost or two similar works each costing 50% of the estimated cost within the last five years. Financial soundness is demonstrated by audited turnover of at least PKR 4 million over the last five years and bank statements for the last three years. Bid security of 5% of the bid value is mandatory. The bid validity period is 90 days.
The deadline for submission is within 7 days after the publish date or as notified in the NIT, with bids to be submitted electronically on the EPADS platform. The original tender fee of Rs. 2000 and bid security must be delivered physically before the deadline. The tender opening will be held at the office of the Municipal Committee Ghotki in the presence of bidders or their authorized representatives.
A practical tip for bidders: Ensure that each page of the bidding documents is signed and stamped by the authorized person and that the bid security is submitted in the correct form (pay order, call deposit, or bank guarantee) from a scheduled bank in favor of Municipal Committee Ghotki. Failure to comply with these requirements will lead to rejection of the bid. Also, avoid using ambiguous terms like 'or equivalent' in your bid as this will result in disqualification.
This tender offers a valuable opportunity for contractors with relevant experience and financial capacity to contribute to the municipal development of Ghotki with a contract value of approximately **PKR 5,000,000**. The procurement follows the Sindh Public Procurement Rules 2010 (amended) and emphasizes transparency, fairness, and quality in execution.
