Tender Description
The Directorate General Immigration and Passports (DGIP), Ministry of Interior, Government of Pakistan, invites bids for the renewal of Netbackup solution and support services for a period of three years at its headquarters located in Sector G-8/1, Mauve Area, Islamabad. This procurement is specifically for comprehensive on-site support, troubleshooting, preventive and corrective maintenance, and product patching to ensure uninterrupted and smooth functioning of the Netbackup solution.
The scope includes providing 24/7/365 on-site support services, quarterly preventive maintenance visits, emergency visits, and training with certification for three local personnel on backup and recovery products. The vendor is responsible for maintaining equipment in optimal working condition, updating software timely, and submitting service reports during the contract period. Payment will be made quarterly based on satisfactory performance and submission of service reports.
Eligible bidders must be registered with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and appear on the Active Taxpayers List (ATL) for both income and sales tax. They must have at least five years of experience supplying related IT equipment, with a minimum of three completed projects involving supply, installation, and support of similar equipment for government or semi-government bodies. A financial soundness of at least PKR 30 million is required, supported by bank statements or letters. Bidders must also submit a bid security of PKR 837,000 in the form of a bank guarantee or draft.
The deadline for bid submission is 3:00 PM on June 3, 2026, with electronic bids submitted through the PPRA e-Pak Acquisition and Disposal System (EPADS). The original bid security and one hard copy of the technical proposal must be physically delivered to DGIP headquarters before the deadline. Bidders should carefully review the tender documents and ensure all mandatory eligibility criteria and documentation are met to avoid disqualification.
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure timely submission of the original bid security instrument physically at DGIP headquarters, as failure to do so will result in rejection of the bid regardless of electronic submission. This tender offers a significant opportunity for firms specializing in IT support services to secure a multi-year contract with a key government department in Islamabad.
