Tender Description
Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) invites sealed tenders for the fiscal year 2026-27 from firms and manufacturers registered with DISCOs, PPMC, WAPDA, NGC (formerly NTDC), and FBR. The procurement is for the repair of damaged distribution transformers on an "as is where is and free delivery basis" to IESCO Regional Stores located in Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Rajjar, and Wah.
Items being procured:
- Repair of 200 KVA irreparable damaged Distribution Transformers (As per DDS-84:2020 Amendment-4)
- Repair of 200 KVA irreparable damaged Distribution Transformers (As per DDS-84:2020 Amendment-5)
The technical scope requires adherence to WAPDA/NTDC specifications amended to date. The transformers must be repaired to meet these standards and delivered to the specified regional stores. The tender will be opened in the presence of authorized representatives at the IESCO Head Office in Islamabad. Tender forms and terms can be obtained from the Material Management office at IESCO Islamabad against a non-refundable fee of Rs.3000 per tender.
Eligibility criteria include registration with relevant DISCOs, WAPDA/NGC, and FBR, along with valid sales tax registration (STRN) and NTN. The bid security amount is Rs. 1,400,000, valid for 150 days, in the form of a Bank Guarantee or CDR from a scheduled bank rated A+ or above.
The tender submission deadline is 17 August 2026 by 10:30 AM, with opening at 11:00 AM the same day. Bidders should ensure their bids are firm and final on an FCS basis without foreign exchange involvement. No tender will be issued on the date of opening, and any holiday or strike will result in rescheduling to the next working day.
A practical tip for bidders: Ensure your bid security is from a bank with the required rating and is valid for the full period to avoid disqualification. Also, submit your application on company letterhead with all required registration documents at the time of tender form issuance to streamline your participation.
