Tender Description
COMSATS University Islamabad invites bids for the repair and maintenance of various lab instruments in its Bioscience Department located in Islamabad. This tender covers a wide range of specialized equipment including thermal cyclers, PCR machines, centrifuges, incubators, spectrophotometers, microscopes, and other critical lab devices. The scope involves diagnostic checks, calibration, replacement of faulty parts, and major repairs to ensure all instruments function optimally for research and academic purposes.
The work requires technical expertise in handling sophisticated biomedical and laboratory equipment across multiple labs within the university campus. Bidders must be prepared to address issues such as electrical faults, sensor malfunctions, calibration failures, and mechanical repairs. The site is well-defined within COMSATS University Islamabad, and bidders should consider the logistics of equipment access and timely service delivery. The technical challenges include maintaining precision instruments and ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications.
Bidders must be registered on the Active Taxpayer List (ATL) of FBR and comply with all tax regulations for the financial year 2025-26. The tender requires submission of a valid PEC category if applicable, along with proof of non-blacklisting and relevant experience. The bid security of PKR 150,000 must be submitted as a Call Deposit Receipt (CDR) or bank draft. Firms should ensure their technical and financial bids meet all mandatory requirements to avoid disqualification.
The submission deadline is set for 12th March 2026 at 11:00 AM, with technical bids opening half an hour later in Room No. G-6/G-8, Ground Floor, Faculty Block-I, COMSATS University Islamabad. Bidders must submit their documents through the EPADS online portal and also provide a sealed hard copy at the university's procurement office located on the 2nd Floor, Faculty Block-II, Park Road, Tarlai Kalan, Islamabad.
Pro-Tip: Make sure to carefully review the mandatory technical compliance sheet and include all required brand names and model details. Missing or blank technical sheets often lead to outright rejection. Also, verify the bid security format and ensure timely physical submission to avoid disqualification.
