Tender Description
Karachi Shipyard and Engineering Works Limited (KS&EW) invites experienced sub-contractors to participate in the repair of MCC Container at its Ship Repair Division in Karachi. This procurement is specifically for contractors registered with Income Tax and Sales Tax departments, having relevant experience in ship repair or similar work related to SLTS. The scope includes detailed repair work on MCC Containers, requiring technical expertise and adherence to KS&EW specifications. Bidders must prepare Technical and Commercial bids in accordance with the bidding documents, which are available at the Ship Repair Division for a non-refundable fee of PKR 2,000. The submission deadline is strictly by 13 July 2026 at 1100 hrs, with technical bids opening at 1130 hrs the same day. Commercial bids will be opened later and bidders will be notified accordingly. It is essential for bidders to ensure their bids include Earnest Money in the form of a CDR as per the Public Procurement Rules 2004. Experience in similar ship repair projects and valid FBR registration are mandatory. A practical tip for bidders is to carefully review the technical specifications and ensure all required documents are complete and properly signed to avoid disqualification during the technical evaluation. Timely submission at the Ship Repair Division, KS&EW, West Wharf Road Karachi, is critical to participate in this opportunity.
