Tender Description
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) Islamabad Capital Territory is procuring specialized repair and rewinding services for a 50HP electric motor located at its filtration plant. This procurement is specifically for the repair and rewinding of the electric motor including dismantling and installation after repair, one change of bearing, replacement of top shaft, change of non-return valve, and fixing of butterfly valve. The scope also includes repair of a deep well water turbine with 16 stages and 6 inches diameter involving replacement of impeller fans, shaft, bushes, and other parts. Additionally, the contract covers provision, installation, and connection of an ATS electric starter panel with components such as circuit breakers, magnetic contactors, timer relays, phase failure relay, overload relay, push buttons, voltmeter, ampere meter, wiring, and a GI powder coated panel box with complete accessories and safety items. The warranty period for the work is six months.
Eligible bidders must be registered with FBR, possess a valid NTN and GST registration, and provide a fresh solvency certificate from their banker to demonstrate financial soundness. Bidders should also submit a computerized NIC copy of the chief executive or proprietor and assessment of tax for the last financial year 2024-2025 or 2023-2024. The procurement is open to firms with relevant PEC categories for mechanical and electrical works. Earnest money of Rs. 20,000 in the form of bank draft or call deposit is required. The bidding process follows the Least Cost Based Selection (LCBS) method.
Bids must be submitted online through EPADS v2.0 by Tuesday, July 21, 2026 at 11:00 AM. Manual submissions will not be accepted. The bid opening will be held the same day at 11:30 AM on EPADS. The submission address for bid security hard copies is Park Road, Islamabad Capital Territory. Interested bidders should register on EPADS v2.0 and may seek clarifications by July 15, 2026. The contract performance guarantee is 5% of the contract price.
