Replacement of Batteries in 200KVA UPS of Bullion Lifts at Main Building, SBP Head Office Karachi

The State Bank of Pakistan Banking Services Corporation (SBP BSC) invites sealed bids for the replacement of batteries in the 200KVA UPS of Bullion Lifts at the Main Building, SBP Head Office Karachi. This procurement is for the financial year 2026-27 and will be executed under a Single Stage Two Envelope procedure using Least Cost Based Selection (LCBS) technique. Items being procured: - Supply of maintenance-free VRLA AGM batteries, non-spillable, Make B.B / GNB or approved equivalent, Rating 12V/24Ah, Capacity 23.5Ah (C10 rate to 1.80V/cell at 20°C), charging current 7.8A, discharge current 390A for 5 seconds, self-discharge below 3% per month, internal resistance below 10 mΩ, compliant with UL 94 and IEC 61056, designed life up to 5 years (80 units) - Dismantling, installation and commissioning of new batteries including removal of existing batteries and placement at desired location - Supply and replacement of all intercell connectors (flexible or solid copper links), cleaning of battery racks, tightening of terminals to 6 Nm torque, application of anti-corrosion protection (80 units) The scope includes supply, installation, commissioning, and removal of existing batteries as per specifications provided in the bidding documents. Bidders must be registered with FBR and active taxpayers. The technical evaluation requires bidders to have completed at least two projects related to UPS or UPS batteries electrical works each costing a minimum of Rs. 1.5 million in the last five years. Financial capability and technical brochures must be submitted. The contract duration is 90 days from the date of commencement. Bids must be submitted online through EPADS v2.0 by Thursday, October 22, 2026, 12:00 PM. Bid security in the form of Pay Order, Banker's Cheque, Call at Deposit, or Demand Draft is required. Performance guarantee of 5% of contract price is mandatory. The successful bidder will provide a minimum one-year warranty from the date of operational acceptance. Technical support and training will be provided during the warranty period. Bidders are advised to register on EPADS v2.0 and review all bidding documents carefully. The bid opening will be conducted on the same day at 12:30 PM via EPADS. Manual submissions will not be entertained. The procuring agency reserves the right to reject all bids.
