Tender Description
The Communication and Works Department, 1st Buildings Division Lahore, is inviting bids for the replacement and installation of lifts in the Emergency and Gynae Block of Services Hospital Lahore. This procurement is specifically for the provision of 2 No. Bed Lifts with 1600-Kg capacity and 1 No. Passenger Lift with 1000-Kg capacity.
Items being procured:
- 2 No. Bed Lifts (1600-Kg Capacity)
- 1 No. Passenger Lift (1000-Kg Capacity)
The technical scope involves specialized lift installation and replacement works at the hospital site in Lahore. Only firms enlisted with PEC for the current financial year 2026-27 under the relevant category and specialization code ME03 are eligible. Bidders must be authorized dealers and distributors in Pakistan for recognized international lift brands such as MITSUBISHI (Japan), SCHINDLER (Spain), DOPPLER (Greece/Western Europe), SODIMAS (France/Western Europe), OTIS (USA), ORONA (Spain), IMEM (Spain), EXPRESS (UK), LGV (Italy), KONE (Finland), and THYSON (Germany) or equivalent manufacturers. Original dealership certificates authenticated by the respective embassies must be provided along with applications.
The tender follows a Single Stage Two Envelope (Technical and Financial) bidding procedure under PPRA Rule 38. Earnest money of 5% of the estimated DNIT cost must be submitted in the form of CDR, bank draft, or cashier's cheque from any scheduled bank. The original 5% CDR/Bank draft must accompany the letterhead and be submitted to the Executive Engineer, 1st Building Division Lahore, before the closing time.
The last date for submission of technical and financial bids on the Punjab e-Procurement System is 12 August 2026 till 11:00 AM. Technical bids will be opened on the same day at 11:30 AM online in the presence of bidders or their representatives. Financial bids will be opened after evaluation of technical bids within 4 days on the e-Procurement portal.
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure timely registration on the Punjab e-Procurement System and to carefully prepare the technical bid with all required dealership and PEC documentation to avoid rejection. Manual bids will not be accepted, so familiarity with the online submission process is essential.
