Tender Description
The National Highway Authority (NHA) invites qualified contractors for routine and emergency maintenance works on the N-5 Hyderabad Bypass, specifically from KM 159+000 to 162+000. This procurement is issued by the NHA Sindh-South Region office located in Karachi. The scope includes 113 routine maintenance works and one emergency maintenance work on the specified road section. The contract requires specialized road maintenance expertise, including repair and upkeep of highway infrastructure to ensure safe and efficient traffic flow.
Eligible bidders must be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) in the relevant category, possess valid Income Tax and Sales Tax registration, and be on the Active Taxpayers List (ATL) of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR). Experience in similar highway maintenance projects is essential. The contract duration is 12 months with an additional 3 months defect liability period.
Bidding documents are available for free download from the NHA e-bidding website starting July 12, 2026. Technical bids must be submitted electronically by 11:00 AM on July 23, 2026, with technical bids opening at 11:50 AM the same day. Financial bids of technically qualified bidders will be opened subsequently. Manual bids will no longer be accepted, so bidders are advised to register on the e-procurement system (EPADS) immediately.
