Tender Description
This tender invites experienced suppliers to provide saffron corms and related training services for the Directorate General Agricultural Research at Agricultural University Campus Peshawar. The procurement includes three main components: 250,000 corms of saffron of different varieties imported from countries such as Iran, Greece, Morocco, Spain, China, and Italy; 250,000 saffron corms of local origin for the financial year 2026-27; and services including trainings, exposure visits, seminars, and workshops at various research stations across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa under a developmental scheme.

The technical scope covers supply of high-quality saffron corms both imported and local, along with capacity-building services for research staff and stakeholders. The services aim to enhance knowledge and skills through seminars and exposure visits at research stations in KP. The tender follows the single stage two envelope procedure on the E-PADS platform, ensuring transparency and compliance with KPPRA rules.
Eligible bidders must be registered on EPAD and for items I and II, firms must have active FSC&RD status with FBR registration. For the services component, firm registration with KPPRA is mandatory. Joint ventures are allowed under KPPRA rules. A non-refundable tender document fee of Rs. 5000 is required, and a 2% bid security in the form of CDR must be submitted in a sealed envelope before the closing date.
The tender submission deadline is **August 13, 2026 at 11:00 AM**, with technical bids opening at 11:30 AM the same day. Tender documents can be obtained from the Directorate General Agricultural Research office during working hours. All applicable taxes, duties, and import clearances must be included in the rates, valid up to June 30, 2027.
