Tender Description
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) invites Expressions of Interest for the selection of a Civil Engineer under the Integrated Flood Resilience and Adaptation Project (IFRAP) Component-II, aimed at strengthening Hydromet and Climate Services. This consultancy is part of the modernization of Hydromet services of PMD in Pakistan. The position requires a Civil Engineer with a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an HEC-recognized university, preferably with a Master's degree, and registration as a Professional Engineer with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC). Candidates must have at least 10 years of progressively responsible experience in civil engineering design, planning, cost estimation, preparation of BOQs, construction supervision, contract administration, and quality assurance of public infrastructure projects.
The consultant will be responsible for preparing Engineer's Estimates, technical specifications, bidding documents, and evaluation of civil works. Experience with FIDIC or similar international contract standards and projects financed by the World Bank, ADB, JICA, or other development partners is advantageous. Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and other engineering software is required.
Interested consultants must submit a letter of Expression of Interest demonstrating their ability, skills, and experience, along with a detailed, dated, and signed Curriculum Vitae highlighting qualifications and relevant assignments. The consultant will be employed on a contract basis working full-time at PIU PMD, Saidpur, Islamabad.
