Tender Description
This tender invites qualified contractors in Karachi to supply and install a comprehensive solar power system for multiple government offices. The project involves the procurement of high-efficiency solar panels, inverters, batteries, and related electrical components designed to optimize energy use and reduce dependency on the grid. Installation will take place at various government sites across Karachi, requiring careful site assessment and adherence to local electrical safety standards.
The scope includes civil works for mounting structures, electrical wiring, and integration with existing power systems. Karachi's coastal climate presents unique engineering challenges such as corrosion resistance and high humidity, which must be addressed through material selection and installation techniques. Contractors should have experience with solar projects in similar environments to ensure durability and performance.
Bidders must hold a valid PEC Category C-5 or above license and be registered with the FBR with an active ATL status for the fiscal year 2025-26. Compliance with all tax and regulatory requirements is mandatory. Earnest Money in the form of a Call Deposit Receipt (CDR) must accompany the Technical Bid as per tender documents.
The submission deadline is set for 23:59:59 on **July 1, 2024**, with bid opening scheduled for the following day at 10:00 AM. Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes to the Energy Department office located at Government Secretariat, Karachi. Late submissions will not be entertained.
Pro-Tip: Make sure to check the newspaper advertisement for specific stamp duty requirements and ensure your CDR is valid for the entire bid validity period to avoid disqualification.
