Tender Description
This tender invites qualified firms in Karachi to supply and install solar power systems across multiple government buildings. The Sindh Public Procurement Department requires high-quality photovoltaic panels, inverters, and mounting structures designed to withstand local weather conditions. The project aims to reduce energy costs and promote sustainable power solutions in urban government facilities.
The scope includes site assessment, system design, installation, and commissioning. Karachi's coastal climate presents challenges such as salt corrosion and high humidity, demanding robust materials and expert engineering. Contractors must ensure compliance with national electrical standards and provide maintenance support.
Bidders should hold a valid PEC Category C-4 or above and be registered with the FBR with an active ATL status for the fiscal year 2025-26. It is advisable to prepare all technical and financial documents carefully, including Earnest Money in the form of a Call Deposit Receipt (CDR) as per tender requirements.
The submission deadline is set for 24th June 2024 at 23:59:59, with technical bids opening on the following day at 10:00 AM. All bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes to the Sindh Public Procurement Department office located at Karachi Secretariat, Room 210.
Pro-Tip: Make sure to verify the tender advertisement for specific stamp duty and bid security details, as these are commonly overlooked and can lead to disqualification.
