Tender Description
This tender invites qualified contractors in Karachi to supply and install solar power systems across multiple government buildings. The Energy Department of the Government of Sindh seeks to enhance energy efficiency and reduce reliance on conventional power sources by deploying state-of-the-art photovoltaic panels and associated electrical infrastructure. The project involves site surveys, mounting solar panels, wiring, inverter installation, and system testing to ensure optimal performance under Karachi's climatic conditions. Contractors must consider engineering challenges such as rooftop load capacity, shading, and electrical grid integration.
Bidders should hold a valid PEC Category C-4 or above license and be registered with the FBR with an active ATL status for the fiscal year 2025-26. Compliance with all tax and regulatory requirements is mandatory to avoid disqualification. The tender requires submission of a Call Deposit Receipt (CDR) as earnest money and separate technical and financial bids.
The submission deadline is set for 23:59:59 on the 1st of July 2024, with bid opening scheduled at 10:00 AM the following day. All bids must be delivered in sealed envelopes to the Energy Department office located at Government Secretariat, Karachi. Late submissions will not be entertained.
Pro-Tip: Ensure your technical bid clearly details the solar panel specifications and warranty terms, as these are critical evaluation criteria often overlooked. Also, verify the stamp duty requirements mentioned in the newspaper advertisement to avoid bid rejection.
