Tender Description
This tender invites qualified suppliers to provide and install solar power systems across multiple government buildings in Karachi, Sindh. The Energy Department requires high-quality photovoltaic panels, inverters, and mounting structures designed to withstand Karachi's coastal climate and high humidity. The project aims to reduce energy costs and promote sustainable power solutions within public sector facilities.
The scope includes site surveys, system design, procurement of materials, installation, and commissioning. Suppliers must ensure compliance with local electrical standards and provide warranty and maintenance services. Karachi's urban environment presents logistical challenges, requiring careful planning for equipment delivery and installation without disrupting daily operations.
Bidders should hold a valid PEC Category C-5 or above license and be registered with the FBR with an active ATL status for the fiscal year 2025-26. It is advisable to prepare the Call Deposit Receipt (CDR) as Earnest Money and ensure all technical and financial documents are complete to avoid disqualification.
The submission deadline is set for 23:59:59 on 1st July 2024, with technical bids opening the following day at 10:00 AM. Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes at the Energy Department office located at Government Secretariat, Karachi. Late submissions will not be entertained.
Pro-Tip: Carefully review the tender advertisement for specific stamp duty and bid security requirements, as these are commonly overlooked and can lead to bid rejection. Also, ensure all certifications and compliance documents are up to date to streamline evaluation.
