Tender Description
This tender invites qualified suppliers to provide and install solar power systems across multiple government buildings in Karachi under the Energy Department of Government of Sindh. The project focuses on enhancing energy efficiency and reducing reliance on conventional power sources by deploying high-quality photovoltaic panels, inverters, and battery storage units. The installations will be carried out at various sites within Karachi, requiring careful planning to address urban infrastructure challenges and ensure optimal solar exposure.
The scope includes supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of solar systems compliant with national standards. Karachi's climate and building structures present unique engineering considerations, such as load-bearing capacity and shading analysis, which bidders must account for in their technical proposals. The department expects adherence to robust quality control and safety protocols throughout the project lifecycle.
Bidders should hold a valid PEC registration in the relevant category and maintain an active FBR ATL status for the fiscal year 2025-26. It is advisable to prepare the Call Deposit Receipt (CDR) as earnest money and ensure all documentation complies with the latest procurement regulations. Familiarity with the Energy Department's requirements and prior experience in solar projects will be advantageous.
The submission deadline is set for 30th June 2024 at 23:59:59, with technical bids opening promptly thereafter at the Energy Department office located in Karachi. Interested parties must submit sealed hard copies of their bids as per the tender instructions. Late submissions will not be entertained.
Pro-Tip: Make sure to verify the exact stamp duty requirements mentioned in the newspaper advertisement, as these are frequently overlooked and can lead to disqualification. Also, double-check the technical specifications section to avoid common pitfalls related to warranty and after-sales service clauses.
