Tender Description
This tender invites qualified suppliers to provide and install solar power systems aimed at rural electrification across Sindh, with a focus on remote villages near Karachi. The Sindh Energy Department requires robust photovoltaic panels, inverters, batteries, and mounting structures designed to withstand local climatic conditions including high temperatures and dust. The project demands adherence to technical specifications ensuring efficient energy output and durability over a 10-year lifespan.
The scope includes site surveys, system design, installation, testing, and commissioning. Suppliers must demonstrate experience in solar technology deployment in similar environments and provide warranty and maintenance support. The engineering challenges include ensuring stable power supply in off-grid areas and integrating systems with minimal environmental impact.
Bidders should hold a valid PEC Category C-4 or above and must be registered with FBR with an active ATL status for the fiscal year 2025-26. It is advisable to prepare the Call Deposit Receipt (CDR) as Earnest Money and ensure all tax documentation is up to date to avoid disqualification.
The submission deadline is set for 23:59:59 on **24 June 2024**, with technical bids opening the following day at 10:00 AM at the Sindh Energy Department office in Karachi. All bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes delivered physically to the procurement office.
Pro-Tip: Make sure to check the newspaper advertisement for specific stamp duty requirements and ensure your bid documents are complete with all annexures, as incomplete submissions are frequently rejected in this tender process.
