Improvement and Installation of Street Light Systems at Mirza Adam Khan Road and Shah Waliullah Road Lyari Karachi

This tender invites experienced contractors in Karachi to improve and install street light systems at Mirza Adam Khan Road and Shah Waliullah Road under the Town Municipal Corporation Lyari. The projects focus on upgrading electrical infrastructure with high-quality materials including PVC sheathed copper conductors, 250 watt SON-T lamps, LED street lights, and GI single arm double arches. The works require skilled handling of electrical and mechanical components, hydraulic crane operations, and adherence to site-specific instructions to ensure safety and efficiency in the Lyari district. The scope covers laying cables, fixing holders, lamps, igniters, capacitors, switches, and photo cells, along with installation of LED street lights with diacaustic aluminum metal bodies. The engineering challenges include working at heights up to 40 feet, ensuring electrical safety, and coordinating with site supervisors for proper installation. The projects are scheduled for completion within 90 days from the written order to commence. Bidders must hold a valid PEC category relevant to electrical and mechanical works, be registered with the Sindh Revenue Board, and possess NTN certificates. Financial statements must demonstrate turnover equal to or exceeding the project cost over the last five years. A valid electrical license from the Sindh Inspectorate is mandatory. Compliance with SPPRA rules and submission of bid security at 5% of the quoted amount are required. The projects also include deductions of 8% income tax and 5% SRB tax.
