Tender Description
The Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) is inviting bids for the procurement of 200-KVA Distribution Transformers under Tender No 4433 for the fiscal year 2026-27. This procurement is planned to support LESCO's material management needs and will be conducted through the e-Pak Acquisition and Disposal System (EPADS) v2.0 platform. Bidders must be registered and eligible as per the Public Procurement Rules, 2004, and comply with all technical and financial requirements outlined in the bidding documents.
Items being procured:
- 370 Nos. of 200-KVA Distribution Transformers to be delivered in two equal lots of 185 Nos. each
The transformers must conform strictly to Specification No. DDS-84:2020 (Amended to date) as per NGC/PPMC standards. Prototype approval from the Stands & Specifications Department of PPMC Lahore is mandatory before mass production. Delays in prototype submission will incur liquidated damages. The manufacturer must have in-house testing facilities approved by PPMC and allow inspection at all stages including factory acceptance testing. The delivery schedule requires 50% of each lot within 60 days and the remaining 50% in the next 60 days from the date of purchase order issuance.
Eligibility criteria include valid FBR registration, active taxpayer status, prequalification with LESCO or WAPDA formations, and submission of bid security in the form of Pay Order, Banker's Cheque, Call Deposit, Bank Guarantee, or Demand Draft. Bids must be submitted online via EPADS v2.0 by August 27, 2026, 10:30 AM, with bid opening at 11:00 AM the same day. Manual bids will not be accepted.
Technical and financial bids will be evaluated on a Least Cost Based Selection (LCBS) basis. Bidders are advised to carefully review all bidding documents, including terms and conditions, specifications, and submission requirements. One practical tip for bidders is to ensure timely registration on EPADS v2.0 and submission of all required documents to avoid disqualification.
This tender offers a significant opportunity for qualified manufacturers and suppliers to contribute to LESCO's distribution network enhancement in Lahore. Bidders should prepare their proposals with attention to compliance, quality, and delivery timelines to maximize their chances of success.
