Tender Description
The SBP Banking Services Corporation (SBP-BSC) (SBP Banking Services Corporation (BSC)) invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the supply of bottled drinking water at SBP Complex and SBP BSC North Nazimabad Office, Karachi. This procurement is planned for the financial year 2026-27 and will be conducted through the e-Pak Acquisition and Disposal System (EPADS) v2.0 using the Single Stage-Two Envelope procedure with Least Cost Based Selection (LCBS) technique.
Items being procured:
- 19 Liter Bottled Spring or Mineral Water (Daily Quantity: 58,000 for 1st Year, 65,000 for 2nd Year)
- 330ML Drinking Spring or Mineral Water Bottles (Daily Quantity: 5,000 for 1st Year, 5,000 for 2nd Year)
- 1.5 Liter Drinking Water Bottles (Daily Quantity: 1,500 for 1st Year, 1,500 for 2nd Year)
The technical scope includes supply of bottled water from plants with raw water sourced from earth wells or utility lines, clean water handling, filtration (20-5 micron or advanced technology), chlorination, UV treatment, and ozonation. Filling techniques must be automatic and confined or open, with transport facilities owned by the company. Water bottles must be hermetically sealed, food grade, and marked with product details including batch number, expiry date, PS mark, and license number.
Eligibility criteria require bidders to be registered with FBR, have presence in Karachi, valid PSQCA license, ISO or HACCP certification, no blacklisting or litigation, annual turnover of PKR 200 million in last three years, and experience supplying bottled water to at least ten organizations with minimum volumes.
Bids must be submitted electronically via EPADS v2.0 by Monday, November 2, 2026 at 11:00 AM. Original bid security in the form of Pay Order must be submitted physically before the deadline at SBP-BSC House, I.I Chundrigarh Road, Karachi. Bids will be opened on the same day at 11:30 AM via EPADS.
One practical tip for bidders: Ensure timely registration on EPADS v2.0 and submit all required documents including bid security physically before the deadline to avoid disqualification. Maintain strict compliance with technical specifications and delivery schedules to enhance chances of success.
This procurement offers a valuable opportunity for suppliers experienced in large-scale bottled water supply to a prestigious financial institution in Karachi.
