Tender Description
The Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) Islamabad office is procuring diesel fuel for generators to support uninterrupted power supply at its various facilities in the capital territory. This procurement is critical to ensure continuous operation of power generation units and backup systems.
The scope includes supply and delivery of high-quality diesel fuel meeting national standards. The diesel will be used in multiple generator sets across WAPDA installations in Islamabad. Suppliers must ensure timely delivery and compliance with fuel quality specifications to avoid operational disruptions.
Eligible bidders should possess a valid PEC registration in the relevant category, be registered with FBR and ATL, and demonstrate prior experience in supplying fuel to government or large industrial clients. Submission of an earnest money deposit (CDR) as per tender requirements is mandatory. The tender calls for both technical and financial bids, with technical bids evaluated first.
The tender closing date is set for 30th June 2024 at 23:59:59. Bidders must submit their documents to the WAPDA procurement office in Islamabad before the deadline. Late submissions will not be entertained.
A practical tip for bidders is to carefully prepare the technical bid with all required certifications and ensure the CDR is valid and properly attached. This will prevent disqualification on technical grounds and improve chances of success. Attention to detail in bid preparation is crucial in this competitive procurement environment.
