Tender Description
The Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KW&SB) is procuring diesel fuel for its generator sets to ensure uninterrupted power supply at its pumping stations and treatment plants across Karachi. This procurement is critical for maintaining operational efficiency and supporting water distribution in the city. The supply contract covers delivery of high-quality diesel fuel meeting national standards, to be supplied in bulk quantities as per the schedule provided by KW&SB.
Bidders must have valid PEC registration in the relevant category and be registered with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) with an active ATL status. Experience in supplying fuel to government or large-scale industrial clients will be advantageous. The tender requires submission of a Technical Bid including company profile, past experience, and compliance certificates along with a Financial Bid. Earnest Money in the form of a CDR is mandatory as per the tender documents.
The tender was published on 10th June 2024, with the closing date set for 17th June 2024 at 23:59:59. Bids must be submitted to the Procurement Department of KW&SB at their Karachi office before the deadline. Late submissions will not be entertained.
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure that all documents, especially the CDR and FBR registration certificates, are valid and properly attested. Incomplete or expired documentation often leads to disqualification during the technical evaluation phase. Careful attention to detail in the bid submission can significantly improve chances of success in this competitive procurement.
