Tender Description
The Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) Islamabad office is procuring diesel fuel for generators to ensure uninterrupted power supply at its facilities. This procurement is critical for maintaining operational efficiency and supporting the power generation infrastructure in the capital region.
The scope includes the supply of high-quality diesel fuel meeting the required specifications for generator use. Suppliers must ensure timely delivery and compliance with safety and environmental standards. The diesel will be used across multiple WAPDA sites in Islamabad, emphasizing the importance of reliable and consistent fuel supply.
Eligible bidders should possess valid PEC registration relevant to supply contracts, be registered with FBR and ATL, and demonstrate prior experience in fuel supply contracts with government or large private sector entities. Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) and CDR must be submitted as per tender requirements. The procurement follows the Open Competitive Bidding method, ensuring transparency and fair competition.
The tender documents can be obtained from the WAPDA procurement office in Islamabad. The submission deadline is set for 1st November 2023 at 23:59:59. Bidders must submit their technical and financial bids separately, adhering strictly to the instructions provided in the tender documents.
A practical tip for bidders is to carefully review the diesel quality standards and delivery schedules specified in the tender. Ensuring compliance with these technical requirements and timely submission of all required documents, including Earnest Money and CDR, will enhance the chances of successful bid evaluation. Early preparation and site visits, if allowed, can provide valuable insights into the delivery logistics and contract execution.
