Tender Description

Azad Jammu & Kashmir Electricity Department (AJKED) invites sealed bids from well reputed firms, manufacturers, and suppliers for the supply of electrical materials specifically for grid transmission lines in Muzaffarabad, Azad Jammu & Kashmir. The procurement includes a variety of items such as aluminium pipes, connectors, earth rods, grounding conductors, cartridge types, indoor and outdoor termination kits for different cable sizes, ferrol numbers, cable ties, PVC tapes and pipes, glands, tin coated thimbles, PVC clamps, LT switches, and roush cloth. The materials must comply strictly with relevant WAPDA/NGC specifications and be supplied on a free consignee store basis at Muzaffarabad. Bidders are required to be registered with FBR/AJK-IRD with an active ATL status and must have relevant experience in supplying similar goods. The bidding process follows the single stage one envelope procedure as per AJ&K Public Procurement Rules 2017 (amended). The bid security of Rs. 100,000 must be submitted along with the bid in the form of CDR, demand draft, pay order, or bank guarantee from a scheduled bank in Pakistan, valid for 28 days beyond the bid validity period. Bids must be valid for 90 days from the date of opening. The bidding documents can be obtained from the office of the Executive Engineer (Electricity) Grid/Transmission Lines, AJKED, from 29-04-2025 to 13-05-2025 upon submission of a written application on official letterhead, authority letter, payment of Rs. 1,000 non-refundable fee, and NTN and GST certificates. Bids must reach the office by 10:30 AM on 14-05-2026 and will be opened the same day at 11:00 AM in the presence of bidders or their authorized representatives. Late or conditional bids will not be accepted. Blacklisted firms are prohibited from participation. The evaluation report and award of contract will be published on the AJK PPRA website. A practical tip for bidders is to ensure all required documents, including the bid security and valid registration certificates, are complete and submitted on time to avoid disqualification.
