Tender Description
This tender invites bids for the supply of furniture and fixtures to 40 schools located across districts Larkana, Naushahro Feroze, Jamshoro, and Malir Karachi under the School Education & Literacy Department, Government of Sindh. The procurement covers manufacturing, supply, transportation, installation, and fixing of furniture items including dual desks for classes 6 to 8, teacher tables, chairs, and whiteboards. The project is funded by the European Union through the Government of Pakistan and managed by the Reform Support Unit (RSU).
The scope requires bidders to manufacture furniture as per detailed technical specifications and drawings, ensuring quality materials such as Neem or Babar wood and mild steel with epoxy powder coating. Delivery will be made in shipments with storage facilities required for up to three months. Installation and fixing at designated school locations are mandatory and included in the quoted rates. The furniture must meet functional, durability, safety, and aesthetic standards suitable for school environments, with a one-year warranty period starting from acceptance at each school.
Bidders must be registered with the Federal Board of Revenue and comply with all tax and regulatory requirements. The tender follows the Single Stage Two Envelope bidding procedure via the Sindh Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (SPPRA) portal and e-PADS system. Bid security of 2% of the quoted amount and a non-refundable tender fee of PKR 3000 are required. Performance security of 10% of the contract price will be demanded from the successful bidder.
Submission deadline is 23rd January 2026 at 3:00 pm, with technical bids opening at 3:30 pm the same day at the Reform Support Unit office in Karachi. Financial bids of technically qualified bidders will be opened later. Bidders should ensure compliance with PEC categories, FBR active taxpayer status, and provide all required documentation including technical and financial proposals, manufacturer authorizations, and quality assurance plans.
