Tender Description
The Infrastructure Development Authority of the Punjab (IDAP) is procuring the supply, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of a high-end Extracorporeal Shockwave Lithotripter (ESWL) for the Federal Government Polyclinic (PGMI)-II located at G-11/3, Islamabad. This procurement is specifically for Package No. 20, Lot-B, and involves advanced medical equipment essential for non-invasive treatment of kidney and biliary stones using acoustic pulses.
The technical scope includes a state-of-the-art ESWL system featuring an electromagnetic shockwave generator with variable energy density, inline and freeline localization systems using C-Arm and ultrasound imaging, a motorized isocentric C-arm with flat panel detector, and a motorized radiolucent patient table suitable for lithotripsy and endourological procedures. The system must be dual certified with FDA 510K, CE, or MHLW certifications and include comprehensive accessories such as lead aprons, cabinets, and UPS for 30 minutes backup.
Eligible bidders must be manufacturers or authorized agents with valid PEC registration, FBR/ATL registration, and proven experience in supplying similar medical equipment. Joint ventures are allowed with clear designation of lead members. Bidders must submit earnest money in the form of bid security and comply with all technical and financial bid requirements as per the bidding documents.
Key dates include the pre-bid meeting on 2026-04-30 at 10:00 HRS PST in Lahore, and the bid submission deadline on 2026-05-12 at 14:30 HRS PST via EPADS. Technical bids will be opened the same day at 15:00 HRS PST at IDAP Lahore office. Bidders are advised to ensure complete and compliant submissions on EPADS, including original bid security and manufacturer authorization letters.
A practical tip for bidders is to carefully review the detailed technical specifications and ensure all components are from the original equipment manufacturer to avoid disqualification. Timely submission of original bid security to the IDAP office before the deadline is critical to avoid rejection. Familiarity with EPADS submission procedures and early registration on the platform will facilitate smooth participation in this tender.
