Tender Description
This tender invites qualified suppliers to provide comprehensive UPS systems for the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences in Karachi. The department requires supply, installation, and commissioning of multiple UPS units including single-phase 6 KVA and three-phase 10 KVA and 20 KVA models with backup times of 15-20 minutes at full load. The UPS systems must include all necessary components such as tripping battery circuit breakers, cables, and built-in output isolation transformers. The equipment should be of high quality, with battery life cycles ranging from 5 to 10 years, and sourced from reputable American, European, or Japanese manufacturers.
The technical scope demands adherence to detailed specifications ensuring robust performance and reliability. The site location in Karachi requires careful consideration of power stability and integration with existing infrastructure. Bidders must demonstrate technical capability and financial strength, providing at least five positive client references and maintaining spares inventory. Warranty coverage of more than two years is mandatory, with onsite support and replacement of defective parts during the warranty period.
Bidders should be registered with tax authorities and comply with PEC and FBR requirements for the fiscal year 2025-26. The tender mandates submission of bid security at 2% of the bid value and performance security at 5% of the purchase order value. The procurement follows the Sindh Public Procurement Rules 2010 (updated 2019), ensuring transparency and fairness.
The submission deadline is set for 17th February 2026 at 11:30 AM via the EPADS online portal. Bid opening will occur the same day at 12:00 PM. Physical copies of the bid security must be delivered to the Purchase Department at ICCBS, University of Karachi, Karachi-75270. All bids must be sealed and marked appropriately to avoid disqualification.
Pro-Tip: Ensure your bid includes the mandatory summary sheet fully completed and attached, as omission leads to outright rejection. Also, verify the bid security validity extends at least 14 days beyond bid validity to avoid disqualification.
