Tender Description
The Water and Power Department Gilgit invites qualified contractors to participate in the procurement for the development project titled 'Procurement of TG Sets for Hydel Stations in GB'. This tender specifically covers the supply, installation, and commissioning of a High Head Pelton Turbine Runner and Jet Nozzles for an 18 MW Hydroelectric Power Station (HEPS) Nalter Phase IV located in Gilgit. Items being procured:

This project demands high technical expertise and quality materials to ensure efficient turbine operation and power generation. The scope includes complete installation and commissioning at the site, requiring adherence to strict engineering standards and safety protocols. The contractor must have valid PEC registration under the specialized code ME-07(ix) for the financial year 2026-27, be enlisted with the Water & Power Department Gilgit-Baltistan, and the manufacturer must hold ISO-9001 certification with a Tier-II or above rating. OEM authorization and a minimum of ten years of documented experience in TG set production with turbine runner expertise are mandatory. Proven experience with at least three similar projects of minimum 3 MW capacity in Pakistan is required, supported by completion certificates. Financial stability is essential, demonstrated by a bank credit line certificate and bank statements showing transactions of at least PKR 50 million over the last six months. No blacklisting or litigation certificates must be attached.
The estimated cost is bold PKR 43,737,054 with a bid security of PKR 1,968,000. Bidding documents costing PKR 10,000 can be purchased from the Executive Engineer W&P Department GBHEW Division Gilgit office during working hours upon cash payment. The bid submission deadline is 6th August 2026 at 12:00 hours, with bid opening at 12:30 hours the same day. Completion period is four months after the commencement order.
