Tender Description
COMSATS University Islamabad is procuring advanced IT equipment to enhance its computing infrastructure in Islamabad Capital Territory. The procurement includes high-performance desktop units featuring AMD Ryzen 9 9900X processors, ASUS ROG Crosshair X870E Extreme WiFi 7 motherboards, 64 GB DDR5 RAM, 2 TB NVMe SSDs, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Ti graphics cards, 1000 W power supplies, 17-inch screens, keyboards, and mice. Additionally, the package includes a one-year subscription to Google Colab Pro+ and Google Cloud Platform usage for high-performance GPU processing. This tender is issued by the Procurement Department of COMSATS University Islamabad, a reputable public sector university.
The technical scope requires bidders to supply equipment that meets or exceeds the specified configurations. The delivery location is the university's store section behind the main library building. Bidders must be registered firms on the Active Taxpayer List (ATL) for GST and Income Tax with FBR and must provide a bid security of PKR 70,000 in the form of a Call Deposit or Bank Draft. The tender follows a Single-Stage Two-Envelope method, with technical bids opened shortly after the closing time. The submission deadline is July 6, 2026, at 1100 hours, with bids submitted electronically via EPADS and a hard copy delivered physically to the university's procurement office.
Eligibility criteria include valid PEC registration if applicable, FBR ATL status, non-blacklisting affidavit, and proven experience with at least five similar contracts over PKR 500,000 each in the last five years. Authorized dealership certificates for the offered brands and warranty as per manufacturer terms are mandatory. The university emphasizes strict compliance with bid submission requirements, including technical compliance sheets and financial bids in prescribed formats.
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure timely registration and submission through the EPADS portal, as bids not uploaded electronically or lacking required documentation will be rejected. Also, submitting the hard copy of bid security and documents on time is crucial to avoid disqualification. Bidders should carefully review all terms and conditions to avoid forfeiture of bid security or blacklisting. This tender offers a valuable opportunity to supply cutting-edge IT equipment to a leading educational institution with clear guidelines and transparent evaluation procedures.
