Tender Description
Pakistan LNG Limited (PLL), a government-owned entity, is procuring one LNG cargo on a Delivered Ex-Ship (DES) basis at Port Qasim, Karachi. This procurement is critical to meet the country’s natural gas requirements and is specifically managed by PLL’s procurement department based in Islamabad.
The technical scope involves the supply of approximately 140,000 cubic meters of Liquefied Natural Gas with a tolerance of plus or minus 10 percent as detailed in the bid documents. The delivery period is scheduled for 10th to 11th July 2026 at Port Qasim, Karachi. Bidders must be reputed international suppliers capable of meeting the stringent delivery and quality requirements.
Eligibility criteria include proven experience in LNG supply, compliance with international standards, and registration with relevant authorities such as FBR and ATL. The bid documents can be obtained in person or via email request from PLL’s procurement office. The submission deadline is strictly 1400 hours PST on 3rd July 2026, with bid opening at 1430 hours the same day.
Bidders should ensure their Technical and Financial Bids are prepared in accordance with the instructions in the bid documents. Earnest Money or CDR requirements will be specified in the tender documents. A practical tip for bidders is to carefully review the tolerance clauses and delivery schedule to avoid disqualification due to non-compliance. Early acquisition of bid documents and timely submission will enhance chances of success.
This tender represents a significant opportunity for suppliers specializing in LNG to engage with a key government entity and contribute to Pakistan’s energy security.
