Supply Medical Gases On Rate Contract Basis For Trauma And Emergency Response Centre Larkana

The Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Institute of Trauma (SMBBIT), Karachi, is procuring medical gases on a rate contract basis specifically for its Trauma and Emergency Response Centre located in Larkana. This procurement covers the financial years 2025-26, 2026-27, and 2027-28. The scope includes supply and installation of Vacuum Insulated Evaporator (VIE) tanks, filling and maintenance of various medical gas cylinders such as compressed medical oxygen, nitrous oxide, helium, nitrogen, and medical grade CO2. The contract also includes cylinder valve replacements, hydraulic pressure testing, painting, and drying charges. The supplier is responsible for the complete supply and installation of VIE bases and fencing, along with necessary plumbing and electrical works as per SOPs for tank safety and security. The vendor must ensure oxygen connectivity from the VIE tank to the hospital's main oxygen supply line and provide backup supply in case of system failure. Eligibility criteria require bidders to be registered with EPADS SPPRA, possess valid NTN, GST or SRB registration, and demonstrate relevant experience with documentary proof for the last three years. Financial soundness must be evidenced by a bank certificate or statement showing capability to handle transactions up to PKR 40 million. Bidders must also submit a bid security of PKR 1,500,000 and performance security of PKR 4,000,000. The technical evaluation will be based on compliance with British, US, or European Pharmacopoeia standards, ISO guidelines, and quality traceability of medical gases. The tender follows a single stage one envelope procedure with electronic bid submission mandatory via EPADS SPPRA.
