Tender Description
The Pakistan Navy is procuring nylon polyamide ropes as per detailed specifications for use in maritime operations. This tender is issued by the Pakistan Navy's Attaché Defence Procurement office based in London, for export to Pakistan. The procurement involves supply of factory new, latest production ropes that are fully serviceable and conform to Defence specifications and original manufacturers' standards.
The technical scope includes 48-MM diameter fibrous ropes made of polyester and polypropylene with a minimum breaking load of 36.5 tonnes, supplied in 220 meter coils. The ropes must be certified by the manufacturer's inspection authority and accompanied by valid Lloyd's test certificates, OEM conformity certificates, and calibration certificates for testing equipment. Compliance with ISO standards 9554 and 2307 is mandatory. The ropes are intended for use in harsh environmental conditions such as Karachi and the Arabian Sea.
Eligible bidders should be OEMs or authorized dealers with valid documentation proving origin and quality standards. Firms must provide warranty on Form DPL-15 and submit performance bank guarantees. The tender requires submission of sealed bids by 05 June 2026 at 11:30 hours London time, with bids opened the same day at 12:30 hours. Offers must be FOB UK with export licenses arranged by the seller. The tender emphasizes strict adherence to specifications and timely delivery.
Bidders are advised to carefully prepare their technical and financial bids, ensuring all certificates and compliance documents are included. A practical tip is to confirm the OEM conformity and calibration certificates upfront to avoid disqualification. Also, ensure the bid is submitted well before the deadline to avoid rejection due to late receipt. This tender offers a valuable opportunity for suppliers specializing in maritime ropes to engage with the Pakistan Navy under clear and stringent procurement conditions.
