Tender Description

The SBP Banking Services Corporation (SBP BSC), North Nazimabad Office in Karachi is procuring the supply, replacement, and installation of maintenance free dry batteries with accessories for the ABB 200KVA UPS system already installed at their premises. This procurement is specific to 150 units of 12V, 28Ah sealed maintenance free VRLA (AGM) dry batteries suitable for UPS applications, equivalent to CSB Battery model HRL12110W or approved equivalent. The scope includes delivery, installation, testing, commissioning, dismantling of existing batteries, and integration with the UPS system to ensure operational readiness. The technical specifications require batteries with a nominal voltage of 12V, minimum capacity of 28Ah, maximum internal resistance of 11mΩ, operational life of at least 220 cycles at 100% depth of discharge or 450 cycles at 50% discharge, and a design life of 5 years or more. The batteries must comply with UL/IEC or equivalent standards and come with a two-year warranty and service level agreement. The supplier must provide training and documentation to SBP personnel and ensure availability of technical support and spare batteries during the warranty period. The supplier is also responsible for corrective and preventive maintenance and must respond within four hours to any UPS shutdown caused by battery faults. Eligible bidders must be OEMs or authorized agents with at least three years of experience supplying similar equipment in Pakistan, registered with FBR and appearing on the Active Taxpayers List, and not blacklisted by any government or regulatory authority. The bid submission deadline is **Thursday, June 04, 2026 at 11:00 AM**, with bid opening at 11:30 AM the same day via EPADS. Bids must be submitted through the EPADS portal in two envelopes: technical and financial. The bid security amount is PKR 150,000 in the form of Call Deposit, Demand Draft, or Payment Order in favor of SBP Banking Services Corporation. A practical tip for bidders is to ensure strict compliance with the technical specifications and submit all required documents including manufacturer authorization and affidavit of non-blacklisting to avoid disqualification. Early preparation of the bid security and careful review of the warranty and service obligations will enhance the chances of successful contract award. The contract includes a 10% performance guarantee and a two-year warranty period starting from operational acceptance. Delivery and installation must be completed within 60 days of notification of award. This is a valuable opportunity for suppliers specializing in UPS batteries and related services to engage with a prestigious financial institution in Karachi.
