Tender Description
Capital Development Authority (CDA) Islamabad is inviting electronic bids for the up-gradation of existing 35 traffic signal intersections, including the installation and modernization of 18 pedestrian (Pelican) crossing features at various locations in Islamabad. This project aims to enhance traffic management and pedestrian safety across the city by upgrading signalized intersections and introducing modern crossing facilities.
Items being procured:
- Up-gradation of 35 traffic signal intersections (locations as per bidding documents)
- Installation and modernization of 18 pedestrian (Pelican) crossing features at various locations in Islamabad
The technical scope includes electrical and mechanical works related to traffic signal systems, installation of pedestrian crossing equipment, and integration with existing infrastructure. Bidders must possess a valid Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) License with Category C-3 and specific codes EE-04 and EE06, as well as a valid Electrical License issued by the Electrical Inspector Islamabad for execution of electrical and mechanical works in Rawalpindi/Islamabad. Firms must also be registered with FBR and have NTN & GSTN registration.
The estimated cost of the project is **Rs.214,124,730**. Bidders are required to submit original bid security amounting to **Rs.6,423,740** in the form of CDR in favor of DDO (P&C), CDA at the time of technical bid opening, and a scanned copy should be uploaded on EPADS. The deadline for submission of e-bids is **September 17, 2026 at 11:00 AM** through EPADS v2.0. E-bids will be opened the same day at 11:30 AM.
