Tender Description
This tender from the Military Lands and Cantonments Department, Rawalpindi Cantonment Board, invites experienced firms to undertake the shifting and transplantation of large trees and shrubs along Peshawar Road in Rawalpindi. The project involves relocating mature trees and shrubs from the Aviation Mess to Suzuki Motors on both sides and center medians using specialized mechanical tree transplanting machinery. The scope includes complete horticultural handling and care to ensure the health and survival of the plants.
The work requires the use of advanced mechanical tree transplanting equipment to safely uproot and relocate trees with girth sizes ranging from 2 to 4 feet and heights between 15 to 25 feet, as well as shrubs with girth 3 to 2.5 feet and heights 10 to 15 feet. The contractor must prepare earth balls proportionate to trunk girth and canopy spread, apply rooting hormones and soil conditioners, and provide post-transplant maintenance including irrigation, fertilization, and replacement of failed plants. The site is located in Rawalpindi, demanding careful planning to avoid damage to public property and utilities.
Bidders should hold a valid PEC category relevant to horticultural or landscaping works and must be registered with FBR and PPRA. Firms must submit a 2% earnest money in the form of a Call Deposit Receipt (CDR) and comply with all tax and regulatory requirements for the fiscal year 2025-26. The tender follows the Single Stage One Envelope procedure under PPRA rules.
The submission deadline is set for 6th March 2026 at 11:30 AM, with bid opening at 12:30 PM on the same day via the E-PADS portal. Interested firms must upload their bids online and submit the original CDR within three days prior to bid opening. The physical address for inquiries is the Rawalpindi Cantonment Board office.
Pro-Tip: Ensure your bid includes a detailed method statement and work plan, highlighting your machinery deployment and supervision strategy. Also, double-check the newspaper advertisement for any specific stamp duty or bid security nuances that are often overlooked.
