Tender Description
Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) is procuring a comprehensive Underground Leakage Detection (UGLD) survey for its extensive pipeline network in Lahore (east and west). This critical project covers a total of 20,358 kilometers of pipeline and aims to detect potential methane gas leakages to maintain safety standards and prevent hazards.
The scope includes deploying skilled manpower such as engineers, surveyors, leak detection inspectors, and helpers, along with vehicles, UGLD meters, plunger tools, measuring wheels, and GPS equipment. Each survey team must cover a minimum of 3.7 km of pipeline daily, with a monthly target of 1,000 km. All equipment must be calibrated and certified, and teams must comply with SNGPL’s safety and operational standards.
Eligible bidders should have valid PEC registration, relevant experience in UGLD surveys, and FBR/ATL registration. The contract duration is 12 months, and bidders must submit detailed deployment and resource plans, including vehicle and manpower details. The submission deadline is strictly by 7th November 2023. Bidders must provide Earnest Money and comply with all regulatory and insurance requirements.
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure all calibration certificates and safety gear documentation are complete and submitted with the bid to avoid disqualification. Timely submission of daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports as per SNGPL guidelines is essential for contract compliance.
