Tender Description
The Punjab Highways Department invites bids from registered Engineering Firms and Contractors for important road works in Bahawalpur district under the PPRA Punjab E-Procurement System. Eligible contractors must have valid PEC licenses for the Financial Year 2026-27 and be registered on the Punjab PPRA website (https://ep.punjab.gov.pk). Bidders are required to submit Bid Security equal to 5% of the estimated cost through digital online payment only via the Punjab e-Procurement System linked with BOP. No physical bid securities such as CDR or Pay Order will be accepted.
Items being procured:
- Upgradation of road Qita Alamara (Length: 3.80 KM) District Bahawalpur ADP No.912 (2026-27)
- Rehabilitation of Metalled Road from Library Chowk to Khatam-e-Nabuat Chowk Bahawalpur (Length: 1.20 KM) District Bahawalpur
The scope includes upgrading and rehabilitating key roads in Bahawalpur with completion periods of 12 months and up to 31.12.2026 respectively. Performance Security/Guarantee of 10% of the contract amount must be submitted within 15 days of offer letter receipt through digital payment only. The Executive Engineer Highways Division Bahawalpur is the designated authority for payments and contract management. Bidders must quote item rates and total amounts accurately; any discrepancies will be resolved based on quoted item rates.
Bidders can attend the bid opening at the office of the Commissioner Bahawalpur on 21.10.2026 at 1300 hours. Submission of fake documents or invalid PEC licenses will lead to disqualification. The works will be executed by mechanized systems including TST/DST/Surfacing. Recovery against old material credit will be adjusted manually.
