Tender Description
The National Highway Authority (NHA) Islamabad Capital Territory is procuring the upgradation and replacement of defective parts of existing permanent SSWIM weigh equipment installed on national highways and motorways. This procurement is critical for maintaining accurate weigh-in-motion systems that ensure road safety and compliance with transport regulations.
The technical scope involves replacement of faulty components and upgrading the weigh equipment to OEM standards. The work includes supply, installation, and testing of parts at multiple highway locations. Bidders must be authorized by the Original Equipment Manufacturers and hold a valid PEC license relevant to this category. Registration with the Income Tax Department and active status on the Federal Board of Revenue's Active Taxpayer List (ATL) is mandatory.
The bidding process will be conducted through the NHA e-Bidding System starting from 9th June 2026. Technical and financial proposals must be submitted electronically, with a hard copy of the technical bid delivered to the NHA office in Islamabad by 30th June 2026 at 1100 hours. The technical bids will be opened the same day at 1130 hours. Earnest Money and CDR requirements are detailed in the RFeP documents.
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure timely registration on the PPRA e-procurement system (EPADS) as manual bids will soon be phased out. Early preparation of the technical bid and compliance with all submission instructions will improve chances of success. This tender offers a valuable opportunity for qualified firms to engage with a prestigious federal authority and contribute to national infrastructure safety.
