Tender Description
The Gilgit-Baltistan Communication & Works Department invites sealed tenders for the widening of road from Bargo Bala to Tholdass and realignment and widening of road from KKH to Guwachi (remaining work) in Gilgit city. The tender is open to eligible firms and contractors licensed by the Pakistan Engineering Council in the appropriate category and code.
Items being procured:
- Widening of road from Bargo Bala to Tholdass
- Realignment and widening of road from KKH to Guwachi (remaining work)
The technical scope includes civil works related to road widening and realignment, requiring experienced contractors with PEC valid registration up to 31st August 2026, Category C-06 and above. Renewal fee for the financial year 2026-27 is mandatory. Bidders must submit CNIC and bid security in the form of CDR from a scheduled bank of Pakistan clearly mentioning the contractor/firm name. No sick scheme or litigation certificates issued by the Chief Engineer C&WD Gilgit Baltistan are allowed.
Tender documents can be obtained from the office of the Executive Engineer B&R Division near Eidgah Konodass Gilgit upon submission of a written application and production of original documents. The cost of bidding documents must be deposited as mentioned against each work immediately after advertisement publication.
The tender will be opened 30 minutes after the closing time on 7th September 2026 at 11:00 AM in the office of the Executive Engineer B&R Division C&WD near Eidgah Konodass Gilgit. The original contractor must collect tender/bidding documents. Joint ventures are allowed only if the lead and associate partner are mentioned in the partnership deed. Authorization or attorney will be entertained subject to judicial stamp paper for specific work duly signed by owner and attested from the Public Notary.
All bid securities/CDRs will be retained until acceptance of tender/bid and refunded after acceptance. Ambiguous information by bidders will be verified and may lead to cancellation and penal action. The department reserves the right to reject any or all bids or proposals at any time prior to acceptance as per GB PPRA Rules. In case of public/local holidays or surprise engagements, the same will be opened on the next working day.
Bidders are advised to carefully check all eligibility criteria and submit complete documents to avoid disqualification. Early submission is recommended to avoid last-minute issues.
