Tender Description
The AJK Power Development Organization in Muzaffarabad invites sealed bids under a Single Stage Single Envelope procedure for comprehensive works at the 3.2MW Rehra Power Station located in District Bagh, Azad Jammu & Kashmir. This tender covers the dismantling, modification of mechanical parts and governing system, repair and maintenance, transportation, installation, testing, and commissioning of power house units 01 and 02, each equipped with 600KW Pelton turbines.
Items being procured:
- Dismantling of Unit# 01 & 02 (600KW Pelton turbines)
- Modification of mechanical parts and governing system
- Repair and maintenance works
- Transportation of equipment
- Installation of turbines and associated systems
- Testing and commissioning of the power station
The technical scope requires experienced contractors licensed by the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) in category C-6 or above, with relevant experience in hydroelectric power station works. Bidders must submit a bid security of Rs. 200,000 in the form of a CDR or Bank Guarantee favoring the Deputy Director (O&M), AJK PDO. All applicable taxes and duties in AJK will be deducted from the successful bidder's payments.
Bidding documents can be obtained upon submission of a written application and payment of a non-refundable fee of PKR 10,000 via bank draft in favor of the Managing Director AJK PDO. Sealed bids must be submitted by 30th September 2026 at 14:00 hours and will be opened the same day at 14:30 hours in the office of the Deputy Director (O&M), Power Development Organization, Upper Chatter, Muzaffarabad. Bidders or their authorized representatives are encouraged to attend the bid opening.
The employer reserves the right to reject any or all bids as per AJK PPRA Rule #33(1). A practical tip for bidders is to ensure all bid security and documentation strictly comply with the tender requirements to avoid disqualification during the technical evaluation phase.
