Tender Description
This tender invites bids for the supply of materials for two major 220 kV double circuit twin bundle transmission lines from Mohmand Dam Hydropower Plant to Jamrud Grid Station (approx. 59 km) and to Nowshera Industrial Grid Station (approx. 67 km). Issued by the National Grid Company of Pakistan Limited (NGC) in Lahore, this procurement falls under the Power, Electrical & Solar Equipment category.
The scope includes two lots: Lot-I for 100kN porcelain disc insulators and Lot-II for transmission line hardware and accessories for rail conductor and OPGW. These materials are critical for strengthening Pakistan's power transmission infrastructure, ensuring reliable and efficient electricity flow. The project demands high-quality electrical components capable of withstanding environmental and operational stresses along the transmission corridors in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Bidders must comply with PEC category requirements and maintain valid FBR/ATL status for the fiscal year 2025-26. The tender emphasizes the importance of technical and financial qualifications, including prior experience in similar contracts and manufacturer credentials. Bidders should ensure their submissions meet all eligibility criteria to avoid disqualification.
The submission deadline is set for 16th February 2026 at 10:30 AM Pakistan Standard Time. Bids will be opened immediately after the deadline at the NGC office located on the 8th Floor, Shaheen Complex, Egerton Road, Lahore. Interested parties should prepare sealed bids with the required earnest money and supporting documents.
Pro-Tip: Carefully review the bid security and manufacturer authorization requirements. Many bidders overlook the need for a valid Call Deposit Receipt (CDR) and proper authorization letters, which can lead to bid rejection. Also, attend the pre-bid meeting scheduled for 21st January 2026 at 11:00 AM to clarify any technical or procedural queries.
