Tender Description
This tender invites qualified suppliers to provide and install solar power systems aimed at enhancing rural electrification across Sindh, specifically targeting off-grid villages near Karachi. The Sindh Energy Department requires robust photovoltaic panels, inverters, batteries, and mounting structures designed to withstand local climatic conditions including high temperatures and dust. The project demands adherence to national electrical standards and efficient energy storage solutions to ensure uninterrupted power supply.
Bidders must be registered with PEC under the relevant category and maintain a valid FBR Active Taxpayer List (ATL) status for the fiscal year 2025-26. The department advises all participants to prepare their technical bids carefully, including Earnest Money in the form of a Call Deposit Receipt (CDR) as per tender specifications. Compliance with all regulatory and quality standards is mandatory to avoid disqualification.
The submission deadline is set for 23:59:59 on the 1st of July, 2024, with bid opening scheduled the following day at 10:00 AM at the Sindh Energy Department office in Karachi. All bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes delivered physically to the designated address. Late submissions will not be entertained.
Pro-Tip: Ensure your bid documents include the exact stamp duty as required by the tender notice, as this is a common oversight that leads to rejection. Also, double-check the technical specifications against the tender to avoid any non-compliance issues that could disqualify your bid.
