Tender Description
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) is seeking pre-qualification of firms for the revamping and upgradation of its electrical and solar systems, including the centralized power room at its headquarters in Islamabad. The project aims to ensure a sustainable, reliable, and energy-efficient power supply by reducing dependency on conventional energy sources.
The scope includes repair and replacement of solar panels, inverters, and backup batteries integrated with existing WAPDA supply, installation of underground electrical cables, distribution boxes with breakers and protection devices, relocation and integration of power generators, and installation of stand-alone solar-powered streetlights. The project is designed to enhance power management and backup capability at PMD headquarters.
